CEA Symposium on Robotics, Bioengineering, Artificial Vision, and Marine Automation from June 4 to 6, 2025
The Automation, Robotics, and Mechatronics Group of the University of Almería is organizing the CEA Symposium on Robotics, Bioengineering, Artificial Vision, and Marine Automation, which will take place on June 4, 5, and 6, 2025, in the city of Almería. This event, sponsored by the Spanish Committee of Automation (CEA), will bring together researchers, industry professionals, and institutional representatives to share the latest advances and applications in these technological fields.
Following the success of the previous edition held in Badajoz in 2024, with more than 100 participants, this new edition aims to consolidate itself as a meeting and collaboration space for the main actors in the sector. The technical program will include plenary conferences, specialized sessions for each of the CEA thematic groups (Robotics, Bioengineering, Artificial Vision, and Marine Automation), and round tables with companies and institutions interested in these disciplines.
One of the novelties of this year is the special focus on the agricultural sector, a key area for the economy of the province of Almería. In this context, specific activities will be developed, such as a visit to the Agroconnect facilities and a special session for the presentation of works related to the automation and robotization of agricultural production processes. Additionally, a special session titled Robotics & Matlab will take place, where use cases of this tool applied to robotics will be showcased.
The Symposium will be held in two locations: on June 4 and 5 at the University of Almería campus, located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, and on June 6 in the city center, where the closing activities will take place. To facilitate international participation, a virtual session has been organized to allow remote presentations.
In addition to the intense technical program, attendees will enjoy a social program that includes guided tours to discover the historical heritage of Almería, a millenary city founded in the year 955 by Abd al-Rahman III, and its rich Mediterranean gastronomy.
