From CIESOL we would like to congratulate one of our members, Manuel Berenguel, on receiving the 2025 National Award in Automatic Control

Professor Manuel Berenguel Soria, Full Professor of Systems and Control Engineering at the University of Almería and researcher at CIESOL, has been awarded the 2025 National Award in Automatic Control by the Spanish Committee of Automatic Control (CEA).

This prestigious recognition, the most important in the field of Automatic Control in Spain, highlights his outstanding scientific career, his contributions to the advancement of the discipline, and his commitment to the national and international research community. It is also worth noting that Professor Berenguel has become the youngest researcher ever to receive this award since its creation.

At CIESOL, we extend our warmest congratulations to Professor Berenguel for this well-deserved honor, which is a source of pride for our center and for the University of Almería.
