Ongoing Water Regeneration

Center for Environmental Modeling and System Dynamics (CEMADIS)

-

Summary

CEMADIS will seek to strengthen research and academic development through multiple lines of action. The main focus will encompass the execution of research projects and the generation of indexed scientific publications, establishing a solid academic-scientific foundation. Engagement will be developed at three strategic levels: with UDLA’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with the external community, and by supporting academics from various degree programs at the university. A fundamental component will be scientific outreach, which will include the dissemination of results both in academic and research circles and in surrounding communities.

General Objective 1. To implement research lines in the areas of environmental modeling related to the simulation of the ultraviolet radiative process, chemical processes, and aquatic ecosystem dynamics linked to UDLA’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs, also acting as interdisciplinary support for other faculties of the University.

Specific Objectives 1.1 To develop scientific research that leads to indexed publications (Scopus and WoS) and/or conference presentations. 1.2 To develop research projects with undergraduate and postgraduate students. 1.3 To link CEMADIS’s research lines with the University’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs. 1.4 To collaborate with other internal and external institutes, schools, centers, and research nuclei. 1.5 To develop outreach and community engagement activities in collaboration with the VRID and the Faculty of Engineering and Business (FINE). 1.6 To develop collaborative activities with companies and NGOs, enabling the securing of funding for CEMADIS.
