Nuria Portero, coordinator of ESU (European Students’ Union), and Vasiliki Tsaklidou, arrived with a group of twenty students from different European universities at the University of Almería, considered a benchmark in sustainability. The goal is to highlight UAL as a sustainable campus and promote learning in this area. The project is co-financed by the European Youth Forum of the Council of Europe, including actions such as visiting the Almerian campus, getting to know facilities like CIESOL and IFAPA, and participating in the workshop ‘Climate Action and Sustainable Communities for All.’ UNIgreen, the European alliance of universities focused on sustainability, was also introduced. Tomás Lorenzana, its visible head, emphasized the opportunities both institutions offer, suggesting potential collaborations in the future. The students, coming from various nations, are part of the project management of the European Students’ Union, focusing on sustainability and climate action according to the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda. The visit includes training, games, and the completion of individual projects centered around these themes.
